New AdaptCMS Resource

Just a small note, but to also avoid a little confusion. Clicking on "coming soon..." or "dynasty wizard" in the left nav bar takes you to a new page setup for AdaptCMS. It's using a customized version of candycane, a project management script. It's basically as a resource to help manage AdaptCMS for public view.

The public is welcome to contribute whatever they want, however the intention for the moment is to keep those interested in the loop on the ideas for AdaptCMS and progress, then once a beta comes along the features of candycane will be used such as bug reporting.

The reason for me kind of lazily throwing it into a few unused areas and not changing the image is because 1. I don't know the font used (this is a 7 year old layout, a while since last changed) and 2. A new design is early in the works. Nothing done yet, mainly just brainstorming and it won't be anything flashy, more for a practical side of things. Stay tuned.

Insane Visions is excited to announce the next release, AdaptCMS 2.0.2 now available for download.

While being another "minor version", 2.0.2 fixes numerous bugs and improves the stability of the Social set of features.

The big new feature is phpBB Integration. While it is not a fully integrated plugin, users can still login currently. Numerous bugs were also fixed - plugin area had numerous issues fixed, ACP Content Sorting, social status update and the Help ACP feature links up correctly.

A reported security hole was also fixed in this version as well as a new setup for the plugin file/folder setup.

While the list of new features isn't huge, the bugs helped stabilize AdaptCMS even more and most importantly, 2.0.2 is the last release until the rewrite of Adapt into the cakePHP framework.

Download AdaptCMS 2.0.2

Insane Visions Update

I've posted this words countless times, but sorry again for a long break in updates though in good news have a very good excuse. Starting back actually about a month ago I was contacted by someone I knew when first starting Insane Visions out and was asked about a job possibilitiy in the programming area. Long story short after conversations and a few tests, I am now officially a web developer at Airtight Design.

While that sounds like doom for AdaptCMS and this site, I largely think of it as good news. Not only will I be using my PHP knowledge 5 days of the week, every week, but be learning new technologies and codes all the time that will help me with AdaptCMS. The bad side of it is of course time, right now my free time is little but once I get used to the job and live closer I should get work done on the script.

It's also quite possible AdaptCMS makes the switch to the cakePHP framework, it's the main framework I use currently at Airtight and it's extremely impressive. Anyways some news on adapt should be known in the next few weeks after I've moved into an apartment. Until next time.
