Just a small note, but to also avoid a little confusion. Clicking on "coming soon..." or "dynasty wizard" in the left nav bar takes you to a new page setup for AdaptCMS. It's using a customized version of candycane, a project management script. It's basically as a resource to help manage AdaptCMS for public view.

The public is welcome to contribute whatever they want, however the intention for the moment is to keep those interested in the loop on the ideas for AdaptCMS and progress, then once a beta comes along the features of candycane will be used such as bug reporting.

The reason for me kind of lazily throwing it into a few unused areas and not changing the image is because 1. I don't know the font used (this is a 7 year old layout, a while since last changed) and 2. A new design is early in the works. Nothing done yet, mainly just brainstorming and it won't be anything flashy, more for a practical side of things. Stay tuned.

After a few week downtime of AdaptCMS and really even longer on serious work, work has resumed on AdaptCMS - specifically AdaptCMS 2.0.2 Beta. There were some previous ideas and features on the list, but a new wave of brainstorming is taking place and more ambitious features are quite possible in this next beta. (such as user subscriptions and twitter/facebook integration)

There are other brainstormed ideas that could be very exciting so stay tuned. Expect a new blog (finally!) quite soon once progress has been made on these features.

Just a quick update, ironically coming after a post that says "Work Resumes". However it is, again. The 2.0.2 beta will be another minor release, bringing in new features but the big ones will hopefully be in the next beta release so the final release is in the horizon.

But there will be a blog post going over some of the new/upcoming new features. Stay tuned.

With the lack of updates a big part of the reason is the work on a mini-site, which will likely end up as a full fledged website - Rock Reviews. The site is used most for AdaptCMS 2.0 testing as a live sample and also as a dynamic site running the site despite being just a beta.

The website continually adds content, lately every day or at least 3-4 times a week mostly concentrating on classic rock as well as some of the better modern rock music. At the moment it's fairly standard with album reviews (and rating) along with individual song ratings and song pages sometimes with a short comment.

However in the near future with more traffic the social aspect will be a major part. Meaning album/song reviews by users, collections, wishlists and a whole lot more. Be sure to check the site out to also see a very good use of AdaptCMS 2.0.

Rock Reviews

Another long delay unfortunately for AdaptCMS Beta and specifically for the 2.0.2 version, however work will be resuming once again starting next week.

As it is the next beta release has only a few plugins to be transferred from the 1.x releases and it will be all good to go. If progress can get back to normal after the release of 2.0.2 then some of the new major features brainstormed for 2.0.2 can be in the next beta and possibly a final 2.0 release can be out by winter.

Instead of another beta the public release of AdaptCMS 2.0 will be releasing shortly. Some last minute features are being finished and a few minor bugs being fleshed out.

There were some features cut from the final release from the initial list when first starting out, but not a bad thing, 2.0 is only the start of the 2.x releases, simply a core start but by no means stripped down, there's a lot of features.
